I love Little Toller so much and it annoys me when I see their books on separate shelves in large bookshops. I am always tempted to restack them so they are in one place.
But the one in the first one (the Gold Hill one) is Somerset, isn't it? And my mistake on Joe Gladwin – I should be able to tell the difference between Yorkshire and Salford!
I am happy to concede that the Golden Hill ad did not have a Yorkshire voiceover after all, contrary to my memory. But the second one cited isn't Yorkshire either. Joe Gladwin was from Salford and stuck with his Lancashire accent even when playing Wally Batty in Last of the Summer Wine. (Yes I know we all sound the same...)
Yes, my mistake – and not a good one! You'd have thought someone who makes mos of his living from listening closely to things would be able to tell the difference...
New bookshop added to my list there. Yay.

What accent is it then in the first Hovis advert?
LOVE the swifts video -- did you take it?
The voice in the Hovis ad is Joe Gladwin's. He was from Salford. Not sure how typically Salfordian he sounds in that ad.

Wow, what a house. The swifts looked amazing too. Great post
Thanks!
Little Toller bookshop is a kind of heaven.

We were both wrong - me about the first and you about the second. Quits? x
