Feeling suitably humbled by birds. Thought I knew a bit about bird evolution but only got 1 right. My son got 6 right (with the hint to go for least likely option!). I’m much better at knowing whether people are still alive - phew! And love the cats - a great 6 things. Thank you 😊
My son had to read Jeeves and Wooster for school and was quite cross at the prospect but he’s a big Stephen fry fan so we watched all of those to prove it’s excellent and he was absolutely furious to be moved up two sets over the holidays. Had to read ‘bloody Graeme greenes arsing quiet depressing shitty American’ apparently. Relatedly, Graeme Greene did NOT write the wind in the willows.
I wonder if it would have sold more if it had been called ‘The Arsing Quiet Depressing Shitty American’. I like it, but would also probably have hated it as a teenager, mostly on the grounds that it was neither Wodehouse nor Dick Francis.
I think it would let the readers really understand what they are in for, and therefore attract the right audience. My son’s true love is Terry Prachett, I don’t think I hits the same.
I tried the is/was game and it goes on and on and on until you eventually get enough wrong answers for it to end. (It helps to play the same category more than once!)
Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful cat.
I did like the 'alt book cover' thing. My mind may be fixated on this until I've come up with a good one.
Oh those birds are tricky,
I love the cat and domino video...
Loved the cats especially. Got 7/8 on birds . Thank you

Thing 4 was priceless. Jeeves and the swan.
It’s perfect, isn’t it?

The cover for 'A Room With A View'!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ok that bird quiz just annoyed me 😆 I’m all for weird evolution but this is cherry picking
