Haha, I saw the cat very quickly. Not usually good at those things. Venice is where I discovered Grom ice cream and nothing else has ever quite lived up to it.
When I first came to London from the North, I derived an indecent amount of amusement from the long “a”. 40 years later and I still remember an educational film seen at a museum that prompted much juvenile sniggering - “The master craftsmen of glassblowing”.
I had elocution lessons to rid me of Yorkshire accent (upwardly mobile mother...) and BA(R)TH was mastered but then she required PLA(R)STIC. The hill on which I didn’t die but refused to climb. 😂
They don’t seem to have included a West Country pronunciation of Bath (the City). I grew up in Wiltshire and for many people it’s Ba’ath. Sorry, just sayin’
Cat has a very cheeky face. Love it. My husband and I have the Bath argument regularly. He’s from Kent I’m from Bristol. Most Bristolians who didn’t have their accent beaten out of them have a hard A pronunciation. I love the accents in the U.K. it amazes me that in a country so small we have so many varied regional accents. It’s fab.
[start of grump] Well I was going to spend a happy few minutes looking for the cat but made the mistake of reading the comments first. FFS why do people do that?? [grumps ends]
My husband and I got engaged in Venice so it’ll always have a special place in my heart. We stayed on the big island below the main bit called Giudecca which was certainly less crowded than the other bit. We saved a fortune in water buses as they assumed we were staying at the Hilton which has a free water bus shuttle every hour!

Cricket ball films were fascinating btw 👍🏻

Found the cat. SPOILERS: tfel reppu. (Read in reverse)
Always love the cat and the house pic. It always feels like Where’s Wally for grown ups.
Found the cat, top right, almost in the corner.
I love Venice. We got lost a few times which was delightful.

That does SOUND like *the* Richard Dawkins. Crumbs.
Doesn't it?
Found the cat! Too quickly ☹️
