Wonderful. A great short read and thoroughly enjoyable. As a cricket fan, I loved the cricket video - been there!! Well, perhaps not the redemption bit but certainly dropping an easy catch! Really looking forward to the next edition, and also your next book.
The TV/Art thread is brilliant. My Six Things are Bod, Test card, Play School windows, Two Soups, Keeping Up Appearances and Lady Floella Benjamin. Didn't think Mr. Noseybonk could get any more terrifying, but here we are. Loving the newsletter already - thank you.
Nice chuckles for the morning. Here in Northern California Blue Jays are all blue and look very attractive but they are not reticent in the least and are quite the bullies in the garden, and for the most part roam in pairs - very noisy with it.
Early on in first lockdown I had a tab open on my computer with a webcam from Cornell University's bird feeders. Great to see all the American birds I'm not so familiar with. And blue jays were regular visitors (although I was familiar with them already as many years ago I spent some time in Toronto, and attended several baseball games).
Excellent articles, Lev. Jays are such striking birds and as a keen ornithologist I was drawn to your newsletter and so glad I was! I learnt so much and loved the clip of the baby elephant with the reporter. So happy to be a subscriber and to have found you.
Did someone say "Ornithology?"

Big fan of Turners take on Thomas myself

Thank you! Anyone who's ever played cricket has been there, I think...

Two Soups is my favourite. The Goodies runs it close. Subtle and beautiful.
And - hello, Lev!
Great articles. But why aren't you busy working on a new book??? 😊😊 I LOVE your books!
Ah well then you might just be in luck. Watch this space!
This was a thing of great joy!! Huge thanks 😊😊😊
Thank you! I'm having fun thinking of things to put in it.
Olive off of on the buses - I nearly choked on my porridge
Yes that's brilliant. I mean, they all are...
Our Jays are more colourful but just as raucous. I was gifted a jay feather once and kept it outside. A squirrel ate it. https://www.audubon.org/field-guide/bird/blue-jay

Ha. A slightly different Blue Jay .

Thank you!
I was surprised to see Jay's in Britain are different colors. We just have plain blue here in the states. 💙
And not just the men named Jay. 😊

Bottom by Henry Moore is my favourite ... no, Man and Duck Divided ... no, The Fall of Trumpton ... they’re all TOO GOOD!
