I empathise with your frustration at capturing footage. I like to try and photograph things and I have a vast number of blurry images and bits of birds. But slo-mo sounds like a plan - I've found it works well when trying to film from a moving vehicle.

We get a lot of geese flying over us and I love the honking as they go. I also love the sound of their wings as a flock takes off from a field.

And gannets! What amazing birds. I spent a very happy hour or a so watching them from a boat in Shetland; the highlight was watching them diving for fish - incredible!

On a rather gloomy day like today this was the perfect antidote!

I love this! The geese one in particular reminded me of childhood, watching thousands of Canada geese fly overhead in a raucous display and then settling on Wainscott pond. (I grew up in the northeast US and yes, I know that Canada geese make a mess and blah blah blah but I still have my childhood wonder of SO MANY GEESE!!! flying over me.)

Thanks for the swifts. We get a few now but nothing like the numbers 5 years ago. I've put up a swift nesting box but without success - yet. Thanks again for a bit of cheer on a very wet and gloomy day. Go well.

I also have similar swerving falling-behind footage of swifts 😁
