A couple of weeks ago, in the probably vain hope of drumming up some interest in my books an unaccustomed fit of generosity, I ran a giveaway to mark the second birthday of Six Things.
Those frogs! It's a cute idea to start with and then they get a bit more enough-to-scare-the-bejesus-out of you. And it's a no to the ones in the chamber pots - animated poo crawling out anyone?
I felt bad because I didn’t even realise there was a give away but then I realised I don’t even have time to write my newsletter so writing yours definitely isn’t going to happen.
I love that Mo Williams did art with some in Braille for the composer who could no longer hear what he was writing. He really is so much more than his excellent Pigeon books, isn't he?
I work in an independent bookstore just off Vulture Street (where the stone-curlews are, although I have to confess that at least in my part of Australia, we just call them curlews) - so funny to see that book pop up here! 😁
The Carlisle pubs book could be very interesting as all the pubs in Carlisle were nationalised during World War 1 (big munitions factory at Longsight and hangovers and high explosives don't mix), and finally sold off during the 1960s when the conservative government got too embarrassed by a significant nationalised industry success story.

Loving the NE love, and all of these.
Oh yes! A simply fabulous 6 things, I think she out sixed you Lev! Mo Willem! theological charts inspired by star wars! And exceedingly scary frogs.
Thing 5!
Brilliant

Barter books; one of my very happiest places.

Love the Romsey Signal Box video, and the Oxfam link
