Thing 1 – Thank You
I realise I haven’t yet stopped to say thank you for your support of this endeavour. It’s one thing to commit to receiving (and even occasionally reading) a free weekly email; quite another to take the trouble to support it financially. It’s very much appreciated.
I started this partly because, with Taking Flight written, I found I had no immediate project calling to me, but the urge to write Things In General was still strong. So, having let a more-or-less-weekly blog lapse some years ago, it felt like a good opportunity to start up again.
And as for opening it up to people to make a financial contribution, my thinking was along these lines: ff I’m spending time putting these mailings together (I am), and if I think that time should/could/might have some sort of monetary value (I do, mostly – it’s a vexed sub…
