I don't get how to play the food guesser game. I type in an answer and then try to narrow it down but it doesn't change or accept a second guess. Is this a browser issue? or am I doing it wrong?

The guess the origin of the food is nicely challenging. Looking at each ingredient, trying to see colonial influences if any, looking at the key ingredients. I shall be sending this to a couple of well travelled friends.

I must ask, what does "oshkosh" mean in this context? I only know of it as a US town, and an excellent pair of dungarees I had in the 1980's

It’s a word we use to denote bashful refusal to accept a compliment, a sort of embarrassed muttering as you try to find the right words and fail. As in “I loved your book”. “Oshkosh I mean it’s really not that you know I mean it’s, well, golly, I, ummm...”

How perfectly English. I shall adopt it.

When I say ‘we’ I mean ‘me and my wife’, by the way.
